Steve Couronne, a young Mauritian from Batterie Cassée, apparently had everything against him: coming from a disadvantaged background
he could not adapt to the school environment and stopped his studies in an early age after primary school. However, ambitious and full of dreams,
he transformed the family garage - from 12 square meters into a turner / fitter workshop, a job he learned inspired by his elders of the time.
Encouraged by his father and surrounded by his two apprentices, he very quickly mastered the workings of this trade and began to make
an excellent reputation for his quality work and his know-how with the managers of the most famous construction sites in the industrial sector
of the island.
The 2000s has been decisive for Steve Couronne, continuing with determination, he made a first trip to England to acquire even more powerful
machine tools. He was aware that to be the best in his sector he must strive for excellence and stand out with unique, innovative and very high
quality services. He quickly specialized in the production of spur gears, helical or herringbone, bevel gears or spikes, worm gears, axles and
camshafts in almost all materials: steel, stainless steel , acetate, nylon and very high strength steel. The workshop will also offer horizontal
and vertical boring of metals and hardening services. Finally Integrity Metal Works Ltd will offer precision welding (YIG, MIG, horizontal and
hardfacing). In addition to this work, carried out at the Sainte Croix workshop and later at the Albion Dock, repairs were carried out on shipyards,
sugar factories and industrial companies in search of quality spare parts. He then travel to Taiwan and the Republic of China where he discovered
even more powerful machine tools. He acquired a machine equipped with the latest technology in very high pressure water jet cutting. Back to
Mauritius, Integrity became one of the few companies in Mauritius to use this waterjet cutting technology. The "Waterjet" is very flexible in its use
and allows more advantageous production costs and gives a better quality / price ratio.
